Day 356
Self Portrait.
I am so close to being done, and find myself reflecting on this past year. I have learned so much, about photography and myself. I am not the same photographer or person I was 356 days ago and I am so grateful for that fact. My plan is to compile this past year of work into some sort of printed publication. I am so thankful for everyone who has followed along, for your words of encouragement, for your thoughts on how the images or words resonated with you. My goals were really to just complete the year, and produce something positive that people looked forward to, in a world of so much negativity. I hope I have accomplished that.

Day 328
Only in death, does a tree reveal all of its stories.
I refuse to be like a tree.

Day 310
Individually, they are so incredibly beautiful and intricate. They are delicate and fragile. Masses of them together can be overwhelming and powerful, affecting whatever area they touch.
As with like-minded people. Individually they are unique and beautiful. Together they can make amazing changes and contributions to whatever they put their minds to.
Surround yourself with your people; those that understand and get you. Together you will be the changes you wish to see.

Day 283
The first hard freeze of the season. It's beauty will bring about destructive change.
Things will go dormant, and dormancy is necessary to rest.
To recover.
To grow anew.

Day 244
The Painted Lady Butterfly sat and surveyed me as I inched toward it on my belly through the grass. The colors of its wings popped against the surrounding wind blown greenery. I am always amazed at the seldom seen underside of these butterflies, the pattern and colors being more beautiful than the topside. Many of us have beautiful seldom seen sides...

Day 221
The rain had stopped and a fly pauses next to the droplets, oblivious of me and my camera.
It was a small fly, almost lost among the leaves.
It's green iridescence body sparkled, whether I noticed it or not, because that is what it is meant to do: shine.
It is what all God's creatures are to do: shine brightly, not to be noticed or not noticed, but because it is what we are meant to do.

Day 208
Ripples.
Waves.
They are everywhere, including life.
Sometimes I just have to hang tight and ride them.
