Day 85: Sight
"Be a possibilitarian.
No matter how dark things seem to be or actually are, raise your sights and see the possibilities...
Always see them...
For they're always there."
-Norman Vincent Peale

Day 84: Save
That moment when the family saves a date, and saves a secret... and my Father is surprised with an 80th birthday party.

Day 83: Give
Dirt and Water.
In the spring it will (hopefully) give rise to our garden.
Such simple things mixed, with a little sunshine, result in a bounty.
I look forward to dirt in my fingernails, sun on my back, as I tend to the plants.

Day 82: HOLY
Holy.
How do I photograph Holy?
This is what I thought as I wandered the river's edge, the breeze rustling the dry reeds along the bank. I watched three geese become annoyed with me for interrupting their lazy afternoon nap in the grass. I snapped a few reflection photos in the still water and walked some more.
Then I saw it.
It was Holy.

Day 81: Prayer
Tonight's sermon was about this prayer: The Lords Prayer.
I hadn't anticipated sharing my Lords Prayer story when the Pastor asked for examples of memorable prayer experiences with this prayer. But, the stoic Lutheran silence went a little too long for me and I stood and shared my story.
It was one of her last coherent days. The Hospice Nurse stood, and I sat on her bed. We prayed this prayer. I knew it was probably one of the last times she would say it. I knew before too long, I would be Motherless. I knew in that moment God was with us and she was not afraid.

Day 79: Beauty
I belong to a group of women who display beauty.
The beauty of friendship.
The beauty of sisterhood.
The beauty of diversity and solidarity.
The beauty of love, support and trust.
I am a lucky woman to be part of such a group.
