Day 279
If you are old enough, or lived around Fargo about 20 years ago, you would know what I mean, when I say that that today I made Grainery Pickles. Sure, I didn't cut them in spears, but they should taste the same. For those who are younger, or from the western part of the state, The Grainery was a cool restaurant tucked into a corner of West Acres mall. Each table had a jar of pickles to snack on, while you waited. What a cool, unique concept. And it worked. 20 years later, people are still making the pickles. It is those small unique details that make successful businesses, well, successf and memorable, l I think. It is something I am trying to remember as I venture into this big unknown of business ownership.

Day 278
When my Pastor tells me "go take a picture of the moon!" I listen... after all, she may have some insight from the Big Guy that I don't. This probably isn't exactly what she envisioned, but I played with my camera and time lapse exposure and this is the result of the full harvest moon rising over two passing cars. This is a snapshot of 5 seconds time, frozen in one frame.

Day 277
Last week, with encouragement from a friend, I sent her head-shot into a casting call for "white blonde children" for a movie that was being shot in Fargo this week. Today we got to experience the hard work and artistry of how a movie is filmed. There is so much thought and preparation that goes into each scene. It truly amazed and enlightened me to the art of film-making! Oh, and she had an absolute blast! We can't wait to see the end result!

Day 276
It's his Titanic and the iceberg it hit. To say he has an interest in the Titanic is a complete understatement. He knows about the boilers, the propellers, the funnels (did you know one was just a facade?) and exactly how it broke apart when it sunk. If you need to know anything... just ask. He will teach you.

Day 275
I had 30 minutes to kill between dropping of one kid, and yet another meeting. I will admit it... I feel like I am going a million different directions lately. I wandered around the outside of the church and found this solitary red branch. I noticed it because it is changing. I am changing. Change is so hard and frightening, but look what beauty it can produce. I need to remember this.

Day 273
I had the absolute privilege of photographing this little doll on her 1st birthday today!! It was apparent that, already, this little girl likes her music! When she got a bit fussy, all it took was some music and she was smiling and dancing again! She knows what we sometimes forget: sometimes you just gotta dance!
