Day 43
When the days are full of excitement, adventure or things out of the ordinary, I have found it easy to find images to capture.
It is the days that are mundane, typical, routine, where I sometimes struggle.
Such is life and relationships, isn't it? When they are shiny, fresh and new it is so easy to be attentive and engaged. But it is in the mundane everyday routines where we need to pause and take note. Those we love need to know that we still notice them. That they are important. That her messy, little-girl ponytail and ivory-plunking fingers are some of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.

Day 42
The lines tell a story. Something significant formed them. They hold amazing secrets. As I age, and as I find more and more lines forming on my face, I will try to remember this. They are not lines of age, but of experiences.

Day 41
We spent a little time outside in the warm weather. She continuously drank from the puddles as her insatiable diabetic thirst rages. I caught her reflection in the still water. I find myself wanting time to stand still. My sweet Karma....

Day 40
Here we find the male species of the genuses Elementarus and Secondarious Educationous in their watchful stance. Note the relaxed but attentive posture. Quick to protect and fast to teach the juvenile species, they are highly respected in the Educationous genus.

Day 39
Which rabbit hole am I willing to go down? This question has been a learning process this last year. Some rabbit holes have been dark, full of drama, deceit and hurt. But some of them, though scary, have resulted in great learning, pushing new limits and relying on faith. The decision to enter which rabbit hole is ultimately always my choice. Which rabbit holes are you willing to go down?

Day 38
It was injured; the hind leg was lame.
It hobbled slowly down the river, leisurely munching on the overhanging trees. My children fearfully asked, "Mom will it be O.K?"
I hate not knowing the answers to their questions...

Day 37
It remains elusive....
I have seen this enormous Bald Eagle several times lately. I'm beginning to feel as though it is taunting me. Either I don't have my camera, or I am fumbling with it as it's gigantic wings cover vast amounts of distance taking it away. One day it literally flew over the top of my car. As I looked out my drivers side window I could almost make eye contact and was left in awe of the sheer enormity of it and its wingspan.
Maybe some experiences are to just be that; an experience imprinted on us that neither photograph or retelling of the tale could ever do it justice.
But I will continue to watch for it.....
