Day 92: Rise
Forwards... Backwards...
Rise... Fall...
The movement is accompanied by the cadence of a squeak/thud.
It is a sight and sound that I hear often.
With his music playing, the motion carries him through whatever stresses he works through in his mind.
Oh the secrets that swing must know...

Day 91: Laughter
Since his earliest days, he has had the best giggle.
His laughter has always been able to fill a room.
It comes from deep in his belly.
As he ages I hope this is a trait he never loses.
The world deserves his laughter.

Day 90: HOPE
I was doing errands out of town, with three kids, by myself.
I was running on hope.
Hope there would be minimal meltdowns,
Hope they would not beat the tar out of each other in public,
Hope that I wouldn't have to resort to the threatening to take away their birthdays.
Hope prevailed and they proved to be enjoyable human beings to be around all afternoon.
Hope wins today.

Day 89 Daily
Daily we have a choice to make.
We can decide to scatter the seeds of love and kindness.
Or
We can wear our thorns boldly, in a dual attempt to cause and prevent pain.
The choice is ours to make, daily.

Day 88: Water
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

Day 87: Light
The morning light is muted by the dense fog blanketing the river.
The lack of transparency could be viewed as ominous or frightening.
Or it could be viewed as serene and mysterious.
It is all a matter of perspective.
We must be willing to trust and go forth on faith,
even if the fog is thick and the light is hazy.

Day 86: Bend
Some relationships require us to bend and sway with the gale force winds that can be hurled at us.
What about when those forces fell us by uprooting us from the very ground on which we stand, leaving us to wither?
How do we recover from those injuries sustained when our ability to bend couldn't save us?
