Day 226
Sometimes when I am shooting I get chills, as if something magical is occurring. That is what happened with Ashley's shoot this evening. She, without trying, exuded that old Hollywood beauty. She was so relaxed, fun and kind. I am so lucky to be doing what I love!

Day 224
It was the moment,
right before the raindrop fell.
It dropped away
and became something new.

Day 223
I am not really sure how this happened... because as the picture below shows, I was JUST holding him....
1999..... that was just yesterday right?
I had the distinct honor of photographing my nephew's Senior photos today... he didn't realize how many memories played through my brain as we wandered and shot photos in the studio and around town with his Mom....
I'm sorry I tickled you as you hung from your knees on the swingset and you landed on your head, by the way.....
Drake Edison, you will do great things, that I am sure of! Love you!
Now if you'll excuse me, my keyboard seems to be wet....

Day 222
An evening walk with my daughter. The golden rays mix with the golden grass and her golden hair. She is not longer a little girl, but not quite yet a young lady. She is a complex, deep, old soul. I wouldn't have her any other way.

Day 221
The rain had stopped and a fly pauses next to the droplets, oblivious of me and my camera.
It was a small fly, almost lost among the leaves.
It's green iridescence body sparkled, whether I noticed it or not, because that is what it is meant to do: shine.
It is what all God's creatures are to do: shine brightly, not to be noticed or not noticed, but because it is what we are meant to do.

Day 220
A day in our Small Town, USA will find a scene like this:
the Mayor himself
helping to clean up the trimmed tree branches on Central Avenue.
I love this community!
