Day 141
What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;
Wm. Shakespeare
The labels we are given, or those that are given to us,
do not define us.
Our authentic self will outshine any moniker or name thrust upon us.

Day 140
And that's a wrap.
This whole experience, The Girl With The Yellow Umbrella, is worthy of a separate blog after I have processed it.
What I know right now, is that I am so grateful and joy-filled to have had such an empowering production with truly amazing women.

Day 139
The aftermath of opening night.
The ballet production of The Girl With The Yellow Umbrella was not without its hiccups, but it was an overall success.
To see something, that has been in the works since last fall, come to life in front of an audience filled my heart with so much joy.
I am overwhelmed with happiness, gratitude and amazement.
And we get to do it again tomorrow!!

Day 138
It was piano recital night.
They both played so well and have improved a great deal this year.
She was playing "Grand Ol' Flag" from memory here. She has practiced it no less than 12, 464 times in the last couple weeks.
I am proud to be their Mom.

DAY 137
“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.” – Chinese Proverb
So today we did. Partnering with the Barnes County Soil Conservation District, we shared the cost of planting 61 trees. We have lost many trees over the last few years to disease, age and saturation, so as John Denver sang, we planted a tree (or 61 of them) for our tomorrow.

Day 136
It amazes me that we have a place this beautiful in our small town.
Vangstad Auditorium dates back to 1907 and is ornately decorated.
The seats are the most perfect color in the world too... turquoise.
One of the treasures of this town I call home.

Day 135
Little hearts are perched above the library.
The are passed by everyday, hardly regarded, yet they remain.
Steadfast and upright, waiting to be noticed.
