Day 295
I honestly don't remember an autumn in the last years, since we moved back to ND, that the colors have been this intense, for this long. Usually they leaves turn and we get gale force winds for a straight week, blowing them all to the ground. But this year, I have seen trees turn deep shades that I have never witnessed before, like this, our Bing Cherry tree. The colors are mesmerizing and magnificent.
But then again, maybe I've just never taken the time to notice before...

Day 294
The morning was beautiful for a family shoot today! The colors were popping on the sunny autumn morning! These two were so sweet and good! I hope Miss N had a wonderful birthday party today!!

Day 293
I went out to capture the gorgeous sunset of pinks, oranges and purples. I didn't realize he would model for me... as I walked towards him, it was as if he knew I had a camera, and knew he would offer something to a photo. He was right. He even aligned himself with the tree to create a beautiful composition. Thank you friendly neighbor horse!

Day 292
Colors. I like colors.
I've been dealing with a lot of numbers this week and I've realized it would be easier for me to compute compensation and benefits if I could pay in percentages of fuschia and turquoise weeks of vacation. My brain gets colors.
But I did stuff this week that had you told me a year ago I would be doing I would have scoffed. And that is what life is about. Learning, leaping and trying things you never imagine yourself doing.

Day 291
This little guy was the happiest little man! He and his sister were so agreeable on this rather windy day, when we met for photos! Though the wind blustered, he smiled and laughed! His joy was contagious.
I love my job.

Day 290
There was an amazing long exposure photo that won the ND Governors contest and it prompted a discussion on an artists forum I am part of. Clint, a fantastic photographer and instructor, (whether he knew it or not) threw down an challenge, ... well, at least that's how I took it. So tonight, I sat in the yard listening to God only knows what crawling through the trees, and did some long exposures. While this is far from award winning, it was rewarding for this old dog to learn a new trick!
