This is about ALL of us.

Tonight, I can finally relax a little.

He is finally home for a few days.

The anxiety in our household has been high, because for the past 8 days, this has been my husband’s reality:

Every night upon arriving home, he has stripped in the basement, showered before seeing us and his scrubs have gone straight into the washing machine.

I want people to understand this is about ALL OF US.

This isn’t about if you feel fine, if its a conspiracy or a hoax.

I will fully admit that 10 days ago I was a skeptic.

But oh, how I was wrong.

THIS is now HIS reality…

and the reality of his countless selfless, amazing

co-workers.

They will continue to don protective garb and see patients.

They will continue to go home with the underlying fear and overwhelming hope they are not bringing this virus home to their families.

They will continue to practice God-granted patience when people continue to defy all recommendations of travel and gathering, and then are fearful they are infected.

My Dad used to say this thing to me when I would want to venture out in bad winter weather…

“There are a few things stronger than you and Mother Nature is one of them!”

His warning is also true for this nasty virus.

Please, for the love of all of us, stay home and don’t give it the opportunity to show you its strength.
